The Beginning
of Brewhaha

Full throttle since 2003

What started as a small shop quickly grew, expanding into the neighboring space on the left and few years later, the one on the right. Today, Brewhaha stands as a spacious, welcoming café, where the walls tell stories of vintage motorcycles, motor racing, and classic sports cars, creating an atmosphere as rich as the coffee we serve.

Stuart's Story

Owner & founder of Brewhaha Cafe

The mastermind behind Brewhaha is a seasoned chef with over 40 years of experience. Having honed his craft in some of Australia’s most iconic kitchens including Bennelong at the Sydney Opera House in the ‘90s and Eliza’s Restaurant in Double Bay in the ‘80s.

Stuart later took on the challenge of feeding thousands of workers in remote mining camps in North Western Australia. Eventually, he brought his expertise and passion for food to Hornsby, opening Brewhaha with a partner before taking full ownership and making it his own.

Quotes from
our regulars

We’re lucky to be surrounded by our supportive regulars who bring life, laughter, and warmth to our café every day.

Here’s what some of our wonderful customers have to say about their experiences with us

Beth & Roger Andrews

"We have been going to Brewhaha since 2003 and have always found the owner and staff to be welcoming and attentive. Stuart (the owner) always says "you cant make a good cup of coffee without good coffee" and the food is an added bonus, especially with the excellent table service."

Lindsay

"I have been coming to Brewhaha for over 20 years, visiting most days being apart of my daily routine. I have alwys found the staff welcoming and attentive. The coffee is good and the vibes are great and a different experience to most cafes."

Racheal

"I first came to the Brewhaha in 2009 and it quickly became my go-to place. The owner is a chef and it shows in the quality of the items on the menu. Everything is wonderfully balanced with perfect flavour combinations. They nail simple things like scrambled eggs or a works burger and chips, and the more elaborate menus items are beautifully designed and not over-the-top. I’ve tried everything and it’s all good! The staff are lovely and the service great.”

David

"I often have a need for a coffee light meal and i find that brewhaha satisfies and furfills that need. The food is well prepared and always fresh. Enjoy"

Beryl

"The hot chips at Brewhaha are (more often then not) golden brown and crispy. The coffee is consistently well-brewed and the latte art is beautiful when eating in at the cafe. The staff are attentive, friendly and efficient."
